Is the website grader really free?

What does the grader check?
Sixteen on-page checks across indexability, metadata, content, social sharing and technical basics — the things that can be measured honestly from the page itself. It does not guess at rankings, backlinks or traffic, because those cannot be known from outside your accounts.
My score is low. What should I do first?
